Zique is the name of a yellow-spotted millipede I found outside on Thursday, May 20, 2004 at around noon. I have since then place it in a jar and put plants in there with it so they can decompose and become humus so he has something to eat. This site claims that they give off an almond-like scent when they feel threatened. I haven't had the guts to smell the guy yet because my sister and I remember, from childhood, them stinking like stale urine. That could be when they were dead or something, too.

• Scientific Name: Harpaphe haydeniana
• Sex: prefers females
• Age: between 0 and 3 years
• Weight: less than 1 gram (guess)
• Length: ~4 cm (~1½ in)

Oh yeah, Cathryn hates the millipede. Don't even mention the word around her. Especially since I have recently shown her how to use a pistol.
